The fire reignited the debate about the conditions of the public transport fleet in the city. Passengers reported concerns about the safety of buses operated by the company. "There is no security at all. Every time we move and we hear that the bus has no brakes, it's a fire. No security at all," said user Maria Cristina. In a note, Turp informed that, since the beginning of the intervention process by Petrópolis City Hall, the fleet has undergone preventive maintenance. The company also said that the causes of the fire are being investigated by a technical team. Petrópolis City Hall, through CPTrans and the intervention committee, clarified that it assesses the fire that occurred today as extremely serious.
