Caminhada do Amicão TV Rio Sul Barra Mansa (RJ) will host the Caminhada do Amicão for the third time, an event promoted by TV Rio Sul that encourages responsible ownership and animal welfare. The program takes place on July 26th, from 9am to 1pm, on Avenida Roosevelt Brasil. The event will bring together owners, their pets and the whole family for a morning dedicated to animal welfare, with several free activities. The program will have activities for the whole family and their pets. One of the highlights will be the traditional Parade of Costumed Pets, which this year will have the theme "Children's Characters". The first three placed will receive trophies and gifts. The event will also feature an animal adoption fair, distribution of gifts, veterinary guidance and a walk with the pets. All food collected will be donated to CãoNina, a group that protects, adopts and supports animals in Barra Mansa. The event is sponsored by Yesu Mobilidade Elétrica and Quatree, in addition to the support of Barra Mansa City Hall. According to the organization, the initiative seeks to encourage animal welfare and strengthen coexistence between families and their pets.
