According to the complaint, a two-year-old child was the victim of sexual abuse. An examination confirmed the abuse, and the mother believes that the crime occurred in a daycare center where the girl studied. The Civil Police states that, so far, the elements do not indicate that the abuse occurred at the daycare center and that they are listening to the victim's family. “We are issuing subpoenas to other people to listen, understand the dynamics of the previous days, the dynamics of the family to understand, because today the elements do not indicate that the incident occurred at the daycare center”, stated the delegate. The complaint A mother reported to the Civil Police that her two-year-old daughter was a victim of sexual abuse in João Pessoa. The violence was proven through a report, and the mother believes that the abuse occurred in a daycare center where the child studied. The complaint was made on April 23, 2026, but the case came to light this Tuesday (14). The case is being investigated by the Police Station for the Repression of Crimes Against Children and Youth. The child's mother and daycare staff were interviewed by delegate Adriana Guedes, responsible for the case, who reported that there was no evidence of authorship identified so far. "The police station immediately took action, listened to the daycare director, listened to the child's teacher, listened to the caregivers, listened to the assistants. I personally went to the daycare to carry out an inspection. So, the investigations continue. To date, we have no evidence of authorship." The evaluation carried out did not identify elements that corroborated the occurrence of the facts narrated on the school premises. Likewise, to date, no signs of functional irregularity have been found on the part of the pedagogue or assistants mentioned that would justify, from administrative and legal aspects, the preventive dismissal of the employees or the immediate initiation of a Disciplinary Administrative Process (PAD). It is important to highlight that the absence, at this moment, of administrative sanctioning measures does not represent the closure of the case. The Secretariat remains at the entire disposal of the competent authorities and informs that all images and other information requested have already been forwarded to the Police Station responsible for the investigation, which will continue to investigate the facts.
