According to the exhibition's curator, visual artist Keyla Sobral, the return to the competitive format should encourage the presentation of new and recent works. "The resumption of the concept of a competitive exhibition, with submissions of proposals in the most varied languages, will encourage artists to present their most recent projects, their unpublished works. This will provide an exhibition with emerging and updated production from the state of Pará. We hope to see a freshness, as production from Pará is increasingly stronger", he states.
