The prosecutor also highlighted that the inauguration draws attention to the reality faced by trans people in Brazil and the rates of violence recorded against this population. According to the Public Ministry of the State of Amazonas, Fabi's approval represents a milestone for the institution and the Brazilian Justice system, by expanding representation within the Public Ministry. For her, the moment also symbolizes progress in complying with the principles set out in the Constitution. "The presence of a trans Prosecutor means that the Public Prosecutor's Office begins, albeit in an incipient manner, to reflect in its composition the plurality of Brazilian society. Democratic institutions are strengthened when they are able to represent, not only in their actions, but also in their own formation, the diversity of the people in whose name they exercise their functions", he declared. Fabi also stated that she hopes to be recognized for the quality of the work developed, technical rigor, functional independence and commitment to the legal order. "My career will certainly not be dedicated exclusively to issues related to the trans population, because the constitutional mission of a member of the Public Ministry is much broader than any specific topic," he concluded. The inauguration ceremony will be led by the Attorney General of Justice, Leda Mara Nascimento Albuquerque, and will be attended by members of the MP, authorities and families of those inducted.
