The event, promoted by the Nilo Coelho Irrigation District (Dinc), will take place from 7:30 am to 12 pm, in the auditorium of the 3rd Regional Superintendency of Codevasf, in Petrolina, in the Sertão of Pernambuco. Interested parties can sign up for free by filling out an electronic form. The target audience includes rural producers, technicians and researchers. The program will feature the participation of meteorologist and retired professor from the Federal University of Alagoas (Ufal), Luiz Carlos Molion. He will present an analysis of climate behavior and impacts on agriculture. Speaker Rogério Martins will address topics related to leadership, management, innovation and human development in agribusiness. During the meeting, there will also be the launch of a free digital platform developed to assist rural producers in irrigation management. The tool is part of the process of modernizing the services offered by Dinc and can be accessed via cell phone or computer. The system was created to facilitate decision-making, automatically carrying out technical calculations that previously required more time and specialized knowledge. Among its features, the tool informs the time and frequency of irrigation, the depth applied, the volume of water and the system flow rate.
