Before they left the place, a Military Police team arrived at the establishment. One of the suspects was arrested inside the store, while the other two tried to escape. There was an exchange of gunfire inside the store and both were shot. According to police, one of the suspects was shot in the leg and remains hospitalized. The other was shot in the abdomen, succumbed to his injuries and died. Investigations indicate that the three suspects left Coroatá to commit the crime and already had police records for various crimes in the region. What do the authorities say? When contacted, the Public Security Secretariat (SSP-MA) did not comment on the problems involving the city's vehicles, opening hours and the structure of the police station. However, according to the ministry, the municipality has integrated security forces and that operational support between cities in the same region is part of the strategy for using personnel.
