After going through a custody hearing this Thursday (23), Luis Henrique was granted provisional freedom by the courts. According to the police report, Luis Henrique worked at the restaurant, which is on the same property as the victim's house, but was fired last Monday (20). According to police records, during the invasion, the suspect entered the businessman's room and asked "where is the gun?", indicating that he was looking for a firearm that, according to him, belonged to the owner. A restaurant employee heard noises coming from the upper floor of the house. Upon entering the businessman's room, he found the intruder already with some objects from the residence in his possession. Security camera footage recorded the moment when the employee got into a physical fight with the suspect and managed to restrain him for a few moments (see above). After the confrontation, the victim called the Military Police and reported that the man fled towards a neighboring property, also belonging to the restaurant, where he was staying while working at the establishment. At the scene, police found the suspect with part of the stolen objects. According to the police report, around R$1,500 had also been taken, but the money was not located. According to the police, Luis Henrique confessed to having broken into the residence and stolen the objects. He was arrested red-handed. In a note to g1, the suspect's lawyer, Antônio Carlos Pereira Neves, reported that the court granted his client provisional release during the custody hearing. According to the defense, the case "does not match the specific criminal type". The lawyer also stated that the suspect had a "psychic outbreak" and that he was staying in a space provided by the businessman during the period he worked at the restaurant.
