Man attacks wife, sets fire to mattress where daughter was sleeping and is arrested in AM A 43-year-old man was arrested red-handed this Friday (31) after attacking and threatening his partner and setting fire to the mattress where the couple's daughter, just 3 years old, was sleeping, in Manacapuru, in the interior of Amazonas. The child was removed in time by his mother and was not injured. According to the victim's report to the police, a fight between the couple began in the early hours of the morning, after she said she intended to leave the house where the family lives, in the São Francisco neighborhood, and go to her mother's residence with her four children. The woman said she was threatened, held by the arm and slapped by her partner. She managed to leave the residence and went to her mother's house with the children, but returned on Friday morning. ? Minutes later, one of the daughters informed her mother that the man was setting the bed on fire. Upon arriving at the room, the mother found the mattress on fire and her 3-year-old daughter still sleeping on it. The child was removed immediately and was not injured. Afraid, the woman went to the police station and reported the case. When the police arrived at the property, Marivaldo Nunes was still at the scene. He was arrested red-handed and taken to the Manacapuru Interactive Police Station (DIP). The case remains under investigation by the police.
