A resident of Palhoça, in Greater Florianópolis, he met a woman on the internet and traveled by car for seven days to stay with her, in the region of Cajazeiras in Maranhão. On the morning of July 15, he took the car and began the journey from Palhoça to the village of Cajazeiras, in the region of the municipality of Codó, in Maranhão. The distance is about 3,200 kilometers. "I only traveled during the day. At night, I stopped at hotels or inns to rest. Early in the morning, I continued my journey." He said he got lost on the way, but received help from a truck driver. He also slept in the car. After a week, he found his partner. Jovino is retired and widowed for two years and five months. Lineth is a teacher and had separated from another partner. Despite the great distance, Jovino decided not to inform anyone in the family about the trip. "If I had spoken about my desire, they would definitely ban me. When I got here, I warned them. It was a total uproar", he summarized. "I already warned you: I won't be back." He said he felt lonely in Palhoça. "I'm being treated very well [in Maranhão]. And our story is proof that on social media we can find great love," he declared.
