Micael Leandro's father told g1 that the family was destroyed after his son's death. The teenager was killed after a football match in the Taça das Grotas, an amateur football championship. According to police investigations, Micael was not the target of criminals and died by mistake. According to his family, the player played for São Paulo Futebol Clube's youth teams and was training at Centro Sportivo Alagoano (CSA), while waiting to join Retrô, from Pernambuco. "From a young age he stood out in football, he just breathed it in. He was already a futsal and field football champion for CSA. He was excited to play again, anxious for the days to pass and for him to go to Recife and introduce himself to Retrô", said Marcos Antônio. The police also reinforced that there is no evidence that the teenager had any involvement in criminal activities. The circumstances, motivation for the crime and identification of the perpetrators continue to be investigated by the Civil Police. Micael's father informed that the teenager's cell phone was seized for forensic examination and that he must give a statement to the police on Tuesday (4).
