Upon witnessing the aggression, another RDJ player tried to defend her partner, but ended up being punched in the face by the same athlete. The situation caused great confusion, leading referees, members of the technical committees and other players to enter the court to contain the excitement. As a result of this, the match was ended.

According to Eusébio City Hall, teams from the Department of Sport and Youth accompanied the athlete hit by the kicks during treatment at the city's Emergency Care Unit (UPA). According to the municipality, she received medical assistance and is doing well.

In an official note, City Hall repudiated the acts of violence recorded during the match and reaffirmed its commitment to amateur sport.

"The City of Eusébio, through the Department of Sport and Youth (Sejuv), is hereby publicly informing that it vehemently repudiates violence and any type of anti-sporting practice. We are guaranteeing investments and a regular calendar for amateur sport, because we believe in the transformative power of sport in our society," the statement said.

The president of the RDJ Sport Project, Radija Nascimento, also used the team's social networks to update the health status of the athletes involved. According to her, Júlia, who suffered the kicks to the head, has already been discharged from the hospital and continues to recover at home. The athlete identified as "BK", hit with a punch, is also doing well.

Radija classified the episode as regrettable and stated that the club will continue to adopt all necessary measures to guarantee safety and respect for the athletes.

After analyzing the arbitration report, the official match summary, the broadcast images and the clarifications presented by those involved, the Sports Disciplinary Commission of the Eusébio Sports League, together with the Sejuv Sports Coordination, concluded the judgment on Friday (24).

As a result, the aggressor player was suspended for five years and will be prevented from participating in any competition organized by the Liga Desportiva do Eusébio during this period.

In addition to the individual punishment, the Commission also ordered the elimination of the team As Resenhas do Campeonato Municipal de Futsal Feminino and applied other suspensions to participants considered responsible for contributing to the confusion.

By releasing the decision, the Sports League reinforced its position against any type of violence within sporting competitions and stated that it repudiates physical attacks, insults, intimidation, court invasions and any behavior that puts the integrity of athletes, referees, officials and the public present at risk.
