The ban on diesel exports will be lifted "as the market recovers", he said.
The deputy prime minister explained that the measure aims to prevent refineries from facing difficulties caused by excess supply and reduced refining capacity.
To alleviate the situation, the Russian government adopted several measures, including a ban on the export of gasoline and diesel.
At the same time, the completion of repairs at some refineries made it possible to increase supplies to the domestic market and stabilize the situation, according to Russian authorities.
On July 10, Alexander Novak had already recognized the fuel shortage and the queues at gas stations. At the time, he attributed the problem to Ukrainian attacks on Russian energy infrastructure, after previously stating that the increase in demand had been caused by consumer panic.
Ukraine has carried out frequent drone attacks against Russian oil industry facilities, as well as structures in the country's logistics sector.
According to the international press, the fuel crisis caused by Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries is already affecting around a third of the country's approximately 145 million inhabitants.
