Grêmio confirmed this Friday, July 10, the arrival of striker Matheus Nascimento, who belongs to Botafogo. The center forward was on loan to LA Galaxy, from the United States, and is now part of the Grêmio squad for the continuation of the season.

At 22 years old, the player is considered one of the most prominent names recently revealed by Botafogo's youth teams. Before agreeing with the club from Rio Grande do Sul, he even aroused the interest of European football teams.

During his time at LA Galaxy, Matheus Nascimento played 38 matches, scored seven goals and contributed three assists.

At Grêmio, the striker arrives to expand the options in the offensive sector and can play alongside Carlos Vinícius or take on the role of the current starter. A highlight of the team, the number 9 occupies second place in artillery in the 2026 Brazilian Championship.

Matheus Nascimento is already in Porto Alegre and participated in training with the rest of the squad this Friday. The player began preparing for the resumption of Brazilian football commitments.
