Globo will show more games from the 2027 Women's Cup than the 2026 Men's World Cup

SÃO PAULO, SP (FOLHAPRESS) - Globo will broadcast more games from the 2027 Women's World Cup than it showed in the 2026 men's edition. Under the agreement signed with FIFA, the broadcaster will be able to show up to 56 matches from the tournament that will be played in Brazil between June 24 and July 25.

In the men's Cup, held in the United States, Canada and Mexico, Globo closed a package of 55 games for open TV. The total could reach 56 only if the Brazilian team played in the match for third place - as Brazil fell in the round of 16, the broadcast of third place took place to reach the number of 55.

In the Women's Cup, Sportv will broadcast the 64 games in the competition. On TV Globo, only simultaneous matches from the last round of the group stage, when teams from the same group play at the same time, will be left out.

CazéTV will also broadcast the entire tournament. The channel will show the 64 games for free on YouTube - exclusively on the platform -, repeating the coverage of the 2023 Women's World Cup.

The LiveMode broadcaster broadcast all games of the 2026 Men's World Cup.

Globoplay will bring together TV Globo and Sportv broadcasts for subscribers, in addition to the special programming produced by ge during the competition.

The 2027 Women's World Cup will be the first to be held in South America. Brazil will host matches in Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Fortaleza, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and São Paulo. Maracanã will host the opening and final of the tournament.
