Madonna with Ronaldinho Gaúcho and Ronaldo at the opening of the World Cup Disclosure FIFA transformed the halftime of the World Cup final into a great musical spectacle. The organization extended the match break from 15 to 30 minutes to host the presentation, which was 11 minutes long and artistically curated by Chris Martin, lead singer of Coldplay. Madonna was responsible for opening the show to the sound of “Music”, a hit released in the 2000s, in a version that incorporated excerpts from “Danceteria”, a track from the album Confessions II, released earlier this month. The singer appeared at a skating rink set up inside the MetLife stadium, in New Jersey, in the United States, before appearing in a car that resembled vehicles from the “Mad Max” universe. The moment that caught the most attention on social media, however, was the unexpected participation of Ronaldo Fenômeno and Ronaldinho Gaúcho, who appeared driving the vehicle that took Madonna to the pitch.
