The action set the record for the largest gathering of people using the accessory. The milestone was reached during the singer's performance at the BST Hyde Park festival, following a campaign that encouraged fans to show up dressed like the artist, known for his shaved head, suit and sunglasses. Upon receiving the Guinness certificate, Pitbull celebrated the achievement. "I'm speechless. Who would have thought that a first-generation Cuban would be breaking and creating records?" he said, according to The Guardian newspaper. According to Will Munford, official judge for Guinness World Records, the category recognized the "largest gathering of people wearing bald caps", not bald people. To validate the brand, around 400 volunteers individually checked the participants at the entrance to the event. The process also included images taken by drones and a team of 42 people responsible for the count. The initiative came from content creator Jack Remmington, who published a video on TikTok suggesting that the audience at BST Hyde Park, with a capacity of 65,000 people, would be enough to break a record involving fans dressed up as Pitbull. According to Guinness World Records, there was no previous holder for the category of largest gathering of people wearing bald caps. With the participation of more than 22 thousand fans, Pitbull officially took over the position.
