Manolo Solo in The Good Boss (2021) Disclosure Spanish actor Manolo Solo died in the early hours of Thursday (30), aged 62. The information was confirmed by the Spanish Film Academy. Solo gained international recognition when he played Garcés, one of the soldiers of the cruel Captain Vidal, in "Pan's Labyrinth" (2006), a film directed by Guillermo del Toro and winner of three Oscars.

Manolo Solo won the Goya award for Best Supporting Actor, the main award in Spanish cinema, for the role of Triana in the 2016 film "Tarde para la ira". In "Biutiful", nominated for the Oscar for best international film, the actor played a doctor who treats the protagonist Uxbal, played by Javier Bardem.
