Belo (on the left), Pixote (with glasses), Rodriguinho and Marquinhos Sensação (on the right) come together in the show 'Somos 90 – A reunion do pagode' Disclosure ? NEWS ? Redefined as a transformative movement of samba and society itself in an excellent documentary series available on the streaming platform Globoplay, the pagode of the 1990s has generated a profitable wave of nostalgia among the public that, strictly speaking, has never left to hear the hits of the genre. So much so that, in recent years, records and shows have surfed this wave to benefit from a market favorable to the revival of pagodas sung and/or composed by stars of that generation. It is in this spirit that four singers of the genre – Belo, Pixote, Rodriguinho and Marquinhos Sensação – come together in an unprecedented show strategically titled “Somos 90 – A reunion do pagode”. For now, only one performance scheduled for November 27th at the Nubank Parque stadium, in São Paulo (SP), a city that was the pagoda capital of the 1990s, has been announced. Of the quartet gathered for the show, Belo is the strongest name. Alone, the singer has been selling out shows across Brazil. However, the reunion of Belo with Pixote, Rodriguinho and Marquinhos Sensação reinforces the generational appeal of pagode 90 and has the appeal to generate demand for more performances of the show.
