Caixa Econômica Federal deposits this Friday (31) into workers' accounts the R$ 13.04 billion related to the profit from the Length of Service Guarantee Fund (FGTS) in 2025 for 138.2 million workers with a balance in a linked account. The decision on payment was formalized during a meeting this Tuesday (28) of the FGTS Board of Trustees. The Council is made up of representatives of the government, employers and workers. ??A g1 calculator shows how much each worker will receive with the distribution FGTS app, FGTS app, birthday withdrawal, calamity withdrawal Stephanie Fonseca/g1 Last year, the FGTS recorded a positive result of around R$14.65 billion. The amount to be distributed represents 89% of the profit recorded in the period. With the distribution of profit, the total profitability of the accounts, in 2025, will reach 6.90% — which represents a real gain (above inflation) of 2.53 percentage points. Last year, the IPCA, the country's official inflation, totaled 4.26%. According to the proposal, the credit will be equivalent to an increase of 1.87% in the profitability of each account, proportional to the individual balance. If a worker has a balance of R$1,000, for example, they will have a credit in their linked account of R$18.68, and so on.

According to a decision by the Federal Supreme Court (STF), FGTS remuneration must guarantee, at a minimum, correction by the IPCA in every year. Who is entitled to the deposit and how to check the amount? ?All people with accounts (active or inactive) linked to the FGTS in 2025, with a balance in December, will be entitled to receive a portion of the profits. ?The division is proportional to the balance in each account. The higher the worker's balance, the more he will receive part of the FGTS profit. ?To calculate the amount to be credited, the worker must multiply the existing balance in the FGTS account on 12/31/2025 by the index of 0.01868341. Distribution history Having confirmed the distribution of profit this year, the FGTS Board maintained a routine that has been in force in recent years. In 2025, the FGTS Council approved the division of 95% of the profit obtained in 2024 to workers. In total, R$12.9 billion was transferred. In 2024, the FGTS board approved the distribution of R$15.2 billion to workers relating to part of the profit recorded in the previous year. The decision was unanimous. In 2023, the FGTS recorded a record profit of R$23.4 billion. However, according to the Ministry of Labor's proposal, only part of this amount, around 65%, was allocated to workers. Where does the money go? According to the rules, the resources will be deposited in the workers' linked FGTS accounts. This does not mean, however, that they can be withdrawn immediately. Values ??may be sought when there is, for example: unfair dismissal by the employer; termination of the contract for a fixed period; termination by agreement between worker and employer; retirement; aged 70 years or over; serious illnesses (worker or dependent); purchasing your own home, paying off or repaying debt or paying part of the housing loan installments; birthday loot.
