Taques visits Umutina Indigenous Land and meets with leaders in Barra do Bugres

In the Umutina Indigenous Land, Taques was received by chief Luciel Calomezore Boroponepa and participated in a lunch with residents of the community. During the meeting, he heard demands related to indigenous health, infrastructure, agricultural production and combating fires.

Among the demands presented are investments in vehicles, machines and equipment for structuring a fire brigade, as well as support for local production, based on the cultivation of rice, cassava and fishing.

“We need to form a fire brigade to fight fire during the bushfire period,” said the chief.

Taques said that the visit aimed to get to know the community's needs up close.

"We came to learn about the reality you are experiencing. This dialogue is essential to build proposals that respect culture, strengthen the quality of life and expand opportunities for those who live here", he declared.

Meetings with residents and the productive sector

The agenda also included a breakfast with family members and residents of the Currupira district. The community has a connection with the history of Taques' family, as it was where his father, Alinor Teixeira Taques, lived.

There, the pre-candidate spoke with residents about the region's demands and topics linked to local development.

In the early evening, Taques participated in a meeting promoted by the executive director of Grupo Barralcool, Cidimar Luiz Sansão. The meeting brought together businesspeople, representatives of the productive sector, councilors, former councilors, municipal secretaries and workers from the region.

During the meeting, Cidimar declared support for Taques' pre-candidacy and cited the former governor's political trajectory.

"He is from Cuiaba, he knows Mato Grosso, he has experience and has already demonstrated commitment to the state as senator and governor. That is why we are alongside him in this new project", he stated.
