The next adoption fair for dogs and cats, which are at the municipal shelter, will be on the 11th, from 7 am to 10:30 am at the Claudino Francio Municipal Ecological Park. The intention of the fair in the park is to allow more people to adopt them considering that the shelter is far from the center. Animals that can be adopted are neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and are in perfect health.

“Whoever assumes custody of an animal effectively becomes responsible for it, which is why we emphasize that this is a responsible adoption fair”, explained secretary Clóvis Picolo Filho. Anyone who adopts fills out a registration form pledging not to abandon the animals.
Sorriso currently has more than 400 dogs at the shelter. The space, which was expanded to accommodate up to 300 animals, is once again overcrowded.
