According to clinical assessment, the victim had approximately 90% of his body surface burned. Due to the nature of the injuries, she may later be transferred to the Burn Treatment Center (CTQ), located in Cuiabá.
According to the police report, the case was reported by a neighbor. Upon arrival, the military found that the fire had already spread to every room in the building. During the assessment of the area and organization of combat measures, it was possible to hear calls for help coming from inside the residence. Using personal and respiratory protective equipment, the team entered the property and located the victim.
The woman was sitting among the debris and burning materials, unable to leave the area due to the intensity of the fire. While part of the professionals mobilized to transport the patient, the other soldiers remained to fight.
The causes of the incident have not yet been identified.
