A 37-year-old man was arrested by the Military Police this morning, accused of committing sexual harassment in front of the emergency department of the Municipal Hospital of Guarantã do Norte. According to the incident report, the team was called by employees of the health unit, who reported that a tall man, wearing a striped shirt, was waiting for treatment when he began to perform lewd acts in public, touching his own private parts.

Police officers immediately went to the hospital, but the suspect had already left the scene. Based on the characteristics provided by the unit's team, the military carried out searches nearby and located the man about a block from the hospital.
After the approach, the suspect was detained and taken to the Civil Police Station. The case was registered as sexual harassment, a crime provided for in article 215-A of the Penal Code.
