The State government published a bidding notice to hire a company that will duplicate 7 km, in Sinop, a section of MT-140 (Sinop-Santa Carmem), between the Carmelita river and access to BR-163. The stretch is very busy and the highway provides access to several neighborhoods and businesses in Sinop. Governor Otaviano Pivetta authorized an investment of R$34 million. The MT-140 has strategic importance as it is also one of the shortest accesses from Sinop to Vera, Feliz Natal and Nova Ubiratã.
