Today, the CPI das Águas de Sinop in the city council filed a request with the presidency of the legislature to appoint technical analysis assistance to begin investigations into the concession contract, the concessionaire's obligations and move forward with the analysis of problems with the sewage works. The CPI is mapping the works carried out in the last two years relating to the sewage network.

"The first moment of the CPI is analysis to understand the points of the contract, the issue relating to the percentage of increase in tariffs. If there is a contractual amendment, for example, there may be an increase in costs for the population. So we start by analyzing these factors. We will also analyze the quality of the water that is taken to the homes". “We have already detected that there are a lot of problems with works, we are going to ask the presidency of the chamber to hire technical and legal assistance to analyze the concession contract, which refers to works and other procedures”, said president Dilmair Callegaro, to Só Notícias.

"If we walk down the street we see that there are some works that are clearly going to cause problems, others are already causing problems. The unevenness in the closure of the asphalt on Avenida das Itaúbas, where they laid the pipe, is visible, and that the closure work was not done well. In the (neighborhood) Florence there are several locations. They (concessionaire) have to redo it and someone will have to be an inspector, city hall or AGER", he added.

The commission's intention is, after the contract and documentation analysis phase, to start the octaves. "There is no defined deadline yet. It could be within 60 days, or 90, depending on the progress of the work of the parliamentary committee", explained the president.

“The deadline for completing our work is one year, we will work without rushing, without a political platform so that there is a positive result for society, as happened with the Public Transport CPI, which resulted in a new contract (with a service provider company), with reformulation, new buses, embarkation/disembarkation points and other advances based on the work of the commission”, compared Dilmair.

The camera composition was complete. A few days ago, councilor Toninho Bernardes became part of it.
