The suspect's wife was also the subject of a search and seizure warrant and began complying with precautionary measures imposed by the Court.
During compliance with court orders, police officers seized firearms, ammunition, cell phones, computers, storage devices, a chip used in a security camera system, VHS tapes and other materials. All content will be sent for expert analysis.
Investigation began after arrest of woman suspected of grooming minors
According to the Civil Police, the investigation began after the arrest of a woman suspected of grooming children and adolescents and passing on files containing child sexual abuse content to third parties.
Based on the analysis of the cell phone of the person being investigated and the information provided by her, the police arrived at the couple being investigated in Sorriso.
According to the Civil Police, evidence of the existence of videos and images involving underage victims and the arrested businessman were identified. The material collected during the investigation supported the request for precautionary measures, subsequently authorized by the Judiciary.
The operation was carried out by teams from the Sorriso Police Station, with eight civil police officers and two vehicles. The Municipal Public Security Secretariat also supported the work with the use of a drone to monitor the area during the execution of the warrants.
Investigations continue to clarify all the facts, identify possible others involved and hold the suspects accountable.
The case is being processed under secrecy due to the nature of the crimes and to protect the identity of the victims.
