Zé Neto apologizes to Anitta for criticism made four years ago

“If I saw her, with all the certainty in the world, I would ask for forgiveness, because I think it was something I said inappropriately, without thinking,” he said.

At the time, he had said that he did not depend on the money given by the culture incentive law and did not need to get a "tattoo on his 'toba' to show whether he is doing well or not." The singer had tattooed the word "love" in the anal region shortly before.

Upon acknowledging that his speech was unfortunate, Zé Neto recalled that, in May 2022, when he made the comment, he had not yet sought to address the episodes of drinking he had.

"I drank too much, I said what I shouldn't have said. And I attacked someone who had nothing to do with what I was saying. I feel this guilt. One day I will find her and apologize. I've tried. Anitta, if you see me, forgive me", he said. "After I started looking for the church, I saw how stupid and unhappy I was with that comment. Today I understand life in a different way."
