For him, the intense pace of the profession and the pressure he placed on himself left him in a state of constant alert, which culminated in a moment of loss of consciousness.
The revelation was made during his participation in the Zen Vergonha podcast, led by his wife, Fernanda Lima. In the episode, published on Friday (24), Rodrigo recalled a situation in which he was driving, after leaving Projac, and had a blackout.
"I remember one day I left Projac with a little car that we had, and I crashed the car. I looked at myself and said: 'Man, how did I crash that car? Everything was fine'. I had a blackout and crashed the car into the back of another car. It was super simple, I just pulled over. And I felt a palpitation in my chest, and I didn't feel well", he reported.
This was the turning point for Rodrigo to rethink his career. At the time, he was not looking to do any relaxation activities. His wife invited him to practice yoga, but, according to the presenter, he was "scared to stop to think, to meditate."
After the car accident, he faced yoga head on, which helped him in the process of self-knowledge. It was then that he realized that he was not happy in his profession. When talking to Fernanda about this, she suggested that he work with something related to cooking.
"I asked for your help, and you said: 'Why don't you do what you like?'. I asked: 'What do I like?'. And you replied: you like cooking, why don't you go and cook?'", he recalled.
Rodrigo then swapped fiction for an apron and started hosting cooking shows, consolidating his career as a presenter.
