Lito Sousa is hospitalized with inflammation in the central nervous system

According to a medical bulletin released this Wednesday (22), he responded to treatment and showed improvement in his neurological symptoms. Despite the evolution, there is still no forecast for discharge, and Lito remains in the hospital for monitoring and carrying out additional tests.

Before hospitalization, the creator of the “Aviões e Música” channel had been experiencing numbness in his left arm for around 20 days and difficulty executing fine movements. The influencer, whose full name is Joselito Geraldo de Sousa, was looking for a diagnosis for the problem.

On social media, Lito stated on Tuesday (21) that he should remain hospitalized at least until Sunday. When sharing an image of the room, he said that he set a goal to return to recording videos as soon as possible.

"It's not for likes and money, but for purpose. I always say that those who run for love don't get tired. Thank you very much for the hundreds of thousands of messages! Tomorrow I hope to record a little video here to give an update", he wrote.

The neurological condition emerged a few months after the influencer was diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer. According to the bulletin, the disease continues to be monitored, but the definition of treatment will only occur after the inflammation in the central nervous system has stabilized.

When revealing the cancer, Lito explained that the tumor was identified after examinations and two biopsies. He classified the disease as intermediately aggressive and informed that he must undergo surgery.

The specialist compared the medical process to a “heavy check”, an expression used in aviation to define a complete overhaul of an aircraft.

At 59 years old, Lito Sousa runs one of the largest Brazilian channels dedicated to civil aviation on YouTube. An aircraft mechanic, pilot and flight safety specialist, he produces content about airplane models, plane crashes, how aircraft work and the fear of flying.
