“Godzilla” actress Kaylee Hottle’s cause of death revealed

The Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner classified the 18-year-old's death as accidental.

According to the Frederick County Sheriff's Office, Kaylee was in a 1995 Honda Accord with two other people when the vehicle left the road at 11400 Windsor Road in Ijamsville, Maryland.

The car was driven by a 19-year-old man from Frederick. While traveling along a two-lane road, the driver lost control of the steering wheel, left the road on the right side and hit a water drainage structure.

Authorities believe speeding above the legal limit contributed to the collision. Crews from the sheriff's office and the Division of Fire and Rescue Services were called at 2:52 a.m.

Who was Kaylee Hottle?

Kaylee was born into a family made up of several generations of deaf people. The actress's parents are also deaf, as are members of four generations of her paternal family, according to The Houston Chronicle.

The young woman began acting at the age of nine and gained prominence by playing Jia in “Godzilla vs. Kong” and “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire”.

In the films, Jia lives on Skull Island and maintains a close relationship with Dr. Ilene Andrews, Rebecca Hall's character. The girl also communicates with King Kong through sign language.
