The couple shared the news on social media this Friday (10). Isabella published a photo showing the engagement ring and summed up the emotion of the moment in one sentence: “I said yes”.
Medina responded to the publication with a romantic statement. "We are together even underwater. I love you forever and ever," he wrote.
The influencer also said that the request had a soundtrack chosen especially for the occasion. While the surfer was making the surprise, Beyoncé's “Single Ladies” played, a song known for the section that talks about putting a ring on someone you love.
Shortly afterwards, Medina released a video of the proposal and stated that the engagement surpassed all the achievements he had achieved throughout his career.

The first rumors that Gabriel Medina and Isabella Arantes were together began in June 2025. Two months later, in August, the two publicly confirmed their relationship.
Before dating Isabella, the three-time world surfing champion was married to Yasmin Brunet. The union was made official at the end of 2020, in a private ceremony in Hawaii, and ended around two years later.
Isabella, in turn, already had a relationship with Zé Felipe. The two got engaged in 2019, but announced the end of their relationship the following year.
