RIO DE JANEIRO, RJ (FOLHAPRESS) - Andrea Beltrão will have to take a break from swimming in the sea and riding high rollers in Copacabana, where she is often photographed. The actress used her networks to tell her followers that she had to undergo emergency surgery that will take her away from professional commitments for six weeks.

"A pain that had lasted for more or less five years exploded, took me out of combat, and last week I went straight to the emergency room for a surgery that is not serious at all, but is extremely painful and now forces me to spend six weeks without stepping on the ground. Wheelchair, etc. When I can use crutches, I will celebrate," he wrote.

For this reason, she had to cancel her participation in the presentation of the Grande Otelo Award for Brazilian Cinema, alongside Marieta Severo, which takes place next Tuesday (4), in Rio de Janeiro. Andrea will be replaced on this occasion by Silvia Buarque.

The actress will also not be able to attend the Gramado Festival, from August 12th to 26th. She would participate in the premiere of the film "Antarctica" and receive a tribute for her film career. "Everything was agreed, dates were set and confirmed. I was happy as hell. But then it didn't work out," he joked.

The medical diagnosis was an osteochondral lesion in the talus, and he explained that she underwent an osteoartilaginous autograft, a procedure known by its acronym in English as OATS.

Andrea says she is resigned and expressed optimism about her recovery. "I'm going ahead. I'm careful to go back to swimming, playing ball, running on the beach and wearing high heels whenever I want. The rest is history."

Friends and professional colleagues expressed support in comments on the post. "I know what it's like: I've already ruptured both Achilles tendons. One, and after ten years, the other. I'm getting better. I'll be 100 percent recovered. Or even better, as was my case", wrote actress Virginia Cavendish.

"Take care of yourself. And get well," wrote journalist Fátima Bernardes. Drica Moraes was more succinct: “It will pass”. Singer Mart'nália wrote: "Get well soon."
