The new coach was welcomed to the club's facilities at Domaine de Luchin, where the squad had already resumed training on Monday. Davide's arrival was recorded in a video released by Lille himself on social media.
With the end of Brazil's World Cup campaign, which ended after the 2-1 defeat to Norway, Davide was able to arrive at the new club and start work. In the images published by Lille, he appears greeting players and members of the coaching staff, speaking in French with midfielder Benjamin André.

Lille president Olivier Létang also welcomed the coach and asked if he had managed to rest during the flight back to France. Davide replied yes before hugging the manager.
