The Ministry of Education released this Thursday (30) the list of pre-selected candidates in the single call for the Student Financing Fund (Fies). Pre-selected students must complete their registration between July 31st and August 4th. In 2026, more than 112 thousand places will be offered in total, 75.5 thousand of which will be for the second semester.

To participate, you must have taken any edition of the National High School Exam (Enem) from 2010 onwards; have obtained an arithmetic average of grades equal to or greater than 450 points; not having cleared the writing test; and not having participated as a coach.
To obtain financing, it is necessary to prove that the candidate has a gross monthly family income per capita of up to three minimum wages. All other requirements, deadlines and procedures were published in the notice.
According to the ministry, classification in the selection process is carried out in descending order of the grades obtained in the Enem, by type of vacancy, preference group and type of competition, and respects the following order of prioritization:
- candidates who have not completed higher education and have not benefited from student financing;
- candidates who have not completed higher education, have benefited from student financing and have paid it off;
- candidates who have already completed higher education and have not benefited from student financing;
- candidates who have already completed higher education, have benefited from student financing and have paid it off.
The department also reinforced that the candidate is pre-selected in only one of the course/shift/location/higher education institution options indicated in the application, depending on the type of vacancy and the type of competition.
Waiting list
Candidates who were not pre-selected in the single call are automatically on the waiting list to fill unfilled vacancies, observing the order of classification.
At this stage, pre-selection takes place from August 7th to September 24th.
“All registrants and those who may be pre-selected must pay attention to the deadlines and procedures established in the notice so as not to miss the opportunities to occupy the vacancies offered in this edition of Fies”, highlighted the ministry.
