RIO DE JANEIRO, RJ (UOL/FOLHAPRESS) - Street League Skateboarding (SLS) announced, this Monday (17), the skaters confirmed for the SLS Rio Takeover, which will be held on August 9, at Maracanãzinho, in Rio de Janeiro....
The competition will feature representatives from Brazil, Japan, the United States, Canada, Peru and Spain. In addition to Rayssa, the tournament will feature Brazilians Gabriela Mazetto, Giovanni Vianna, Lucas Rabelo and Filipe Mota.
Rayssa Leal arrives as one of the favorites for the title. Last year, she was champion of the SLS Takeover Brasília and the SLS Super Crown, becoming four-time champion of the competition. In the current season, he won the opening stage of the Street League Skateboarding, held in February, in Sydney.
Japan also has big names for the tournament. In the women's category, Momiji Nishiya, Funa Nakayama and Aoi Uemura, while Ginwoo Onodera and Toa Sasaki will compete in the men's category.
In addition to the names already confirmed, other skaters will still be able to win a spot at SLS Rio Takeover through Wildcard Jam. The qualifier takes place on the 9th, and the participants will be announced on the official SLS Brasil channels.
The dispute in Rio de Janeiro will be the third stop. The season calendar is made up of seven stages - it has already taken place in Sydney, Australia, and Los Angeles, in the United States. After the Marvelous City, he returns to Los Angeles, goes to Paris, France, Tokyo, Japan, and may return to Brazil.
The tournament will have a Spot Takeover format, focusing on the best maneuvers. Away from the slopes, there will be a festival that will feature activations for the public.
