WHO IS SCHJELDERUP?
Schjelderup was born in Bodo, Norway, on June 1, 2004. He started his career at Bodo/Glimt, a team that was a sensation in the last Champions League, but became a professional at Nordsjaelland, in Denmark.
The striker was treated as a promise from a very early age. There were three seasons in Danish football until he was bought by Benfica in 2023, where he remains today and has scored 10 goals and seven assists in 43 games.
Schjelderup competes in the World Cup shortly after being sentenced to prison. In November 2025, he was tried and sentenced by the Danish Court to 14 days in jail for sharing a video of sexual content involving minors. The case took place in 2023 and the sentence was suspended.
The case gained even more repercussion due to the attacker's fame in the virtual game Football Manager. In 2023, Schjelderup was one of the players most hired by game users due to his potential for evolution.
FROM RESERVATION TO WAITER
Schjelderup started Brazil x Norway on the bench. The striker was called on by coach Stale Solbakken after half-time and came on to replace Nusa.
In 45 minutes on the field, Schjelderup served Haaland twice. In the first, he crossed to the head of the number 9, who opened the scoring against Brazil. Then, in a new move on the left, he played for the center forward to dominate and cross the ball to make it 2-0.
The Norwegian had already provided an assist in this World Cup. It was his pass for Asgaard to score Norway's only goal in their 4-1 defeat to France in the group stage.
The attacker will return to the field next Saturday, at 6pm (Brasília time). Norway faces England, in Miami, in the quarterfinals of the World Cup.
