Two women invade Russian airport runway after missing flight

Carrying their bags, the two women are seen crossing the airport runway towards the plane they were supposed to catch.

In the videos shared, it is possible to see the two passengers waving to the aircraft as it performs maneuvers to prepare for takeoff.

Without success, the women then began talking to an employee who was at the scene and who quickly contacted air traffic control to alert them about the situation. Soon after, two other employees appear and try to keep the two women away.

According to the British tabloid The Sun, the women arrived late at the boarding gate. As they were about to miss their flight, the passengers decided to act on their own and invaded the airport runway.

After the incident, the two were escorted out of the place and forced to reschedule the trip.

Images of the incident went viral on social media, and users made comments such as: “Do they think this is a bus?”

“Rules are rules no matter how much money they have,” wrote another user.

The British tabloid also claims that this is not the first time something like this has happened at a Russian airport. In May last year, a passenger also invaded the runway after missing his flight because he was trapped in the bathroom.
