Forget about long, exhausting workouts. Lymphatic massages can be a good option, but they don't do all the work — “training will continue to be mandatory, and massages are just a complement”, guarantee experts.

But, after all, what is the best exercise to treat problems related to the famous “poor blood circulation”?

Health professionals told Vogue the best exercise to take care of the lymphatic system, and you might be surprised. All you might need is this “uncomplicated fitness trend” which, according to Vogue, consists of a lymphatic walk.

Scared by the name? So, let's understand what it's all about:

“Of all the ways to take care of the lymphatic system, walking is the easiest door to cross,” says Rebecca Faria, founder of Detox by Rebecca. "No spa, no gym, no special equipment. You don't even need to change your clothes. You just need to get out and move. From there, your body takes over."

Did you notice similarities with a common day-to-day walk or walk? Still, it's not exactly the same thing. Understand the differences.

Experts suggest that you think of lymphatic walking as something more intentional than a regular walk. “It's a regular walk, but with a focus on deep breathing, good posture and natural movement to stimulate healthy lymphatic circulation”, explains Petra Gospic.

“Lymphatic” walking, according to experts, simply consists of walking in the most comfortable way for the body, but following some guidelines: “Stay upright, move your arms and breathe deeply”.

“Consistency is much more important than perfection”, explains Gospic. “Even a 20- to 30-minute walk can be beneficial,” he adds.

Check out the benefits and what you should take into consideration This walk can strengthen the immune system, stimulate digestion and reduce stress. However, Gospic clarifies that it “cannot be seen as detoxification”, as this is a function performed by the liver and kidneys.

Therefore, you should view this exercise only as “supporting the natural movement of fluids and circulation in the body, and not as a way to eliminate toxins”.

"Don't expect drastic changes. A walk is wonderful, but it's not a magic bullet", says Rebecca Faria. “The real magic is in combining this consistently with a lifestyle that promotes the health of your body”, he concludes.
