RIO DE JANEIRO, RJ (FOLHAPRESS) - Sean "Diddy" Combs, 56, sold a mansion on Star Island, one of the most exclusive areas of Miami, United States, for US$55 million (about R$280 million). The negotiation was closed privately and there was no public announcement of the property.

The rapper purchased the property in 2021 from singer Gloria Estefan and her husband, Emilio Estefan. The house has approximately 743 m² of built area, divided between a two-story main residence and a guest house. The property also has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a guest toilet, swimming pool, spa and private pier.

Information about the sale was released by TMZ this Wednesday (15) and detailed by The Real Deal. Records also show that Diddy continues to own the neighboring mansion, located at number two on Star Island. Federal agents carried out an operation in this second property in March 2024, during investigations against the rapper on suspicion of sex trafficking and extortion. The house sold, however, was not the target of the action.

The rapper was eventually acquitted by a jury on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. He was eventually convicted of two violations of the Mann Act, United States federal legislation that prohibits the transportation of people between states for the purposes of sexual exploitation.

Combs is serving a 50-month sentence following his conviction for transporting people for the purpose of prostitution. The rapper has been detained since September 2024. He will leave the federal penitentiary in Fort Dix, New Jersey, on February 23, 2028. The original sentence was scheduled to end on June 4, 2028, but had already been changed to April 15, 2028. Now, it has been brought forward by almost two months.
