The actress says that, although much of this content is commemorative and celebrates the artist's life and trajectory, she is unable to celebrate at the moment. "It's strange. I tried, but I couldn't talk about it," he explains. "Obviously, Petra's existence has to be told. I go to the events, but I know it's going to be a difficult day for me. It's not a day of celebration."
Dieckmmann comments that this does not mean that she will stop talking about her friend, adding that, when she feels more comfortable, she will be willing to give statements, but that, now that the date is close, she does not feel well.
Preta and Dieckmann had a friendship of over 25 years. They met at an Ivete Sangalo show, which they attended at the artist's invitation. The actress reports that she had an almost instantaneous connection with her friend, reporting that the two spent almost 12 hours talking.
The singer died on July 20, 2025, in New York, due to complications from colorectal cancer. She had received the diagnosis in 2023.
