The Federal Revenue pays this Friday (31) the third batch of refunds for the 2026 Personal Income Tax, referring to the base year 2025. In total, more than 2.7 million taxpayers will receive R$4.6 billion throughout the day.

With the new payment, the agency closes the queue of regular refunds considered eligible. Only declarations retained in the tax network or with problems with the bank details provided for the deposit will remain pending.

Among those who benefited, 839,464 taxpayers gained priority because they used the pre-filled declaration or chose Pix as a method of receipt. Another 309,441 refunds will be allocated to people falling into different priority criteria.

The batch also includes 197,821 taxpayers with legal priority. The remaining 1,396,474 refunds will be paid to people who are not part of any preferential group.

According to the IRS, around 165 thousand refunds were no longer deposited because taxpayers indicated their CPF as the Pix key, but did not have a bank account linked to that key.

To correct the problem, the citizen can register a CPF Pix key with a financial institution, change their bank details through the My Income Tax service or rectify the declaration with an account they own.

The query can be made on the Federal Revenue website. The taxpayer must access the Income Tax area and select the option “Consult my refund”. The service requires authentication by a Gov.br account.

The amount is deposited in the bank account informed in the declaration. If the refund is not redeemed within one year, it will be necessary to request it through the e-CAC Portal.

After entering the system, the taxpayer must access “Declarations and Statements”, select “My Income Tax” and click on “Request refund not redeemed in the banking network”.

The 2026 calendar foresees four lots. The first two were paid on May 29th and June 30th. The third takes place this Friday, and the last is scheduled for August 28th.
