BRASÍLIA, DF (FOLHAPRESS) - The Federal Police concluded the first investigation of Operation Without Discount, into undue discounts at the INSS (National Social Security Institute), with 48 indictments related to the case of Conafer (National Confederation of Family Farmers and Rural Family Entrepreneurs).

The report was presented by the police to the minister of the STF (Supreme Federal Court) André Mendonça, rapporteur of the investigations, last Friday (10). Among those indicted are the former president of the INSS (National Social Security Institute), Alessandro Stefanutto, and the president of Conafer, Carlos Roberto Ferreira Lopes, who is on the run. The institute was contacted via press office via WhatsApp, but has not yet responded.

The entity, investigated by the Federal Police, was the second that received the most discounts on INSS pensions, around R$484 million between 2019 and 2024, according to a survey by the CGU (Comptroller General of the Union).

Of the R$397.3 million in credits identified as atypical in the period, R$376.5 million originated from the General Social Security Regime Fund, which finances pensions for INSS insured people.
