The 2026 World Cup turned Davi Lucca into one of the most talked about topics off the field. At 14 years old, Neymar's eldest son gained prominence on social media for his discreet stance and politeness demonstrated during the tournament. Now, the teenager commented for the first time on the repercussions and made a point of sharing the praise with his mother, Carol Dantas.

In an interview with Quem magazine, Davi said he was happy with the affection he received and stated that his upbringing is a credit to his mother.

"Very happy and I have to thank my mother a lot, because she is the person who made me this way", he declared.

The repercussion began after a video recorded in New York went viral on social media. In the recording, an influencer offers VIP tickets to a Brazilian team game if the teenager agrees to shave his head. Without revealing who he was, Davi responded in a good-humored way: "My father already plays."

Only after responding did the content creator realize he was talking to Neymar's son. The naturalness of the scene caught the attention of internet users and made the video gain thousands of shares.

On social media, many praised the teenager's behavior. Comments such as "So cute", "Extremely polite" and "What a sweet boy" multiplied, highlighting the simplicity demonstrated during the approach.

Since 2021, Davi Lucca lives in Spain with Carol Dantas. The two moved to the country during the period in which Neymar was playing in European football and decided to remain there, even after the changes in the player's career.

Asked about life outside Brazil, the teenager said he adapted to the routine in the country and highlighted the feeling of freedom he found abroad.

"I like living there. The freedom is very good", he summarized.
