"OAB, Bahia and Mara Maravilha herself call for justice for Dr. Cláudia Félix. We also thank everyone for their understanding, interest and respect in relation to the barbarities that Dr. Cláudia Félix suffered, being cruelly murdered", says the statement.
The note informs that Cláudia was "confidant in the family matters of Eliemary Silva da Silveira", Mara Maravilha's given name, and states that these topics may be discussed publicly at another time. According to the team, the family follows legal guidance and will avoid commenting on details while the investigations are ongoing.
"It is only up to us to clarify that we will strive to ensure that everything is investigated thoroughly, responsibly. We will communicate all legal and prudent information", adds the text.
The statement ends with a message about the period of mourning. "Grief is a unique process and has no deadline. Respect and empathy make all the difference."
Record's Cidade Alerta program reported the crime this Tuesday (28). According to the report, Cláudia Félix was killed inside her home after being targeted by suspects who were collecting a debt attributed to another member of the family.
Still according to the program, the lawyer started to receive threats about the debt, despite not being responsible for the debt. Family members even sold two cars in an attempt to pay off the amount and avoid further episodes of violence.
Security camera footage recorded men circulating near the residence before the crime. Cláudia called the police when she noticed the movement, but was shot before the agents arrived. The Civil Police of Bahia is investigating the case, investigating the motivation and seeking to identify those responsible for the homicide.

Cláudia Félix, 51 years old, was allegedly threatened by criminals because of a debt owed to a family member. The lawyer called the police when she noticed the invasion, but was murdered before the agents arrived.
