A 43-year-old man left a message written with charcoal for his son after stabbing his wife to death inside the family home, in Itatiba, in the interior of São Paulo. The crime took place on Thursday afternoon (9) and is being investigated as femicide.

The victim, identified as Tarsiana Nogueira dos Santos, aged 37, was found dead in one of the rooms of the property, located on Rua Joaquim Augusto Megda, in Jardim Santa Filomena.
According to the Civil Police, the suspect, Francisco Ayrton Doniciano Santos, wrote a message asking them to take care of the couple's son, around 9 years old. In the text, he also tried to justify the crime by mentioning supposed betrayal.
According to the Metrópoles website, the man himself called the police and reported that he had argued with his partner. He was found shortly after trying to enter a manhole on a city avenue.
To the agents, Francisco stated that he did not remember what had happened during the argument. Military police officers went to the residence, called for the victim and, without receiving an answer, entered the property, where they found the body.
According to delegate Pedro Henrique Craveiro, responsible for the arrest in the act, the couple had a history of conflicts. The suspect had been arrested days earlier for domestic violence, but was free in the case.
The Civil Police asked the Court to convert the arrest into preventative arrest. The case remains under investigation.
