LeBron James shakes the NBA and is devastated by Trump: "Maybe he's racist"

This Saturday, LeBron James caused a real 'earthquake' in the NBA when he made public his decision to leave the Los Angeles Lakers, the team he has defended since 2018 and in which his son, Bronny James, continues to play, to sign a contract valid for the next two seasons (with the option of renewing for one more) with the Philadelphia 76ers.

A decision that left no one indifferent, not even... Donald Trump, President of the United States, who harshly criticized the 41-year-old player when, at a press conference at the White House, he was asked by journalists whether LeBron could now be compared to the 'eternal' Michael Jordan.

"Well, Michael Jordan is a guy who is my friend. I think LeBron James is maybe a racist, but maybe he just doesn't like Trump. I don't know, but I only like people who like me, so, without a doubt, I would go with Michael Jordan", he said, in statements reproduced by the American TV channel CNN.

Thus, another step has been taken in the 'war' between Donald Trump and LeBron James, which began to unfold almost ten years ago. More specifically in 2017, when the American president criticized Stephen Curry for the fact that the Golden State Warriors had refused the traditional visit to the White House after winning the NBA title.

At the time, LeBron James went public to defend his professional colleague, going so far as to call the country's president a "sucker" (or "sucker"). A criticism that he would reinforce the following year, in an interview with CNN, in which he expressed concern about the direction the country was taking.

"Right now, in the United States, we are in a situation where this racial issue has taken over everything, because I think our president is trying to divide us. He is dividing us and what I have noticed, over the last few months, is that he is using sport to separate us", he reflected.

Donald Trump didn't let it go and used the social network

Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn't easy to do. I like Mike!

LeBron James' explanations

Meanwhile, LeBron James himself used social media to explain the reasons that led him to leave the Los Angeles Lakers for the Philadelphia 76ers: "I thought it was over when the season ended. I wasn't prepared to announce anything and I knew I needed time to really decide, but I was pretty sure I had played my last game."

"I was honest in that last press conference when I said I needed to take care of myself and decide if I still loved this sport. I still truly love this sport and I have more to give. The last few weeks have been very special. I had never been able to stop and think calmly and really take some time to decide what to do," he wrote.

"I've spent an incredible few months with everyone I love, trying to figure it all out. This is my final decision. I don't play for money. I don't play for family. Why am I really playing at this point? I still want to sacrifice. I still want to work. I still want to fight. I still want to compete and win and have the chance to feel the feeling of winning another title," he continued.

"I believe I can help transform the Philadelphia 76ers into a championship team, and I'm so excited to bring that energy to a new fan base and begin this incredible journey one last time. Thank you, Los Angeles. I will always love Miami, and Northeast Ohio will always be my home," he concluded.

I thought I was done when the season ended. I wasn't ready to announce it, and I knew I needed some time to really decide, but I was pretty sure I played my last game. I was honest at that last press conference when I said I needed to look at myself and decide if I still love
