Authorities are investigating the breeding, training and sale of Mura cocks, which were allegedly used in fights.
During the operation, approximately 1,500 birds were inspected and showed signs of mistreatment. The agents also seized cell phones, documents related to the sale of animals and a firearm.
CNN Brasil reported that it tried to contact Alexandre Bertoluci, but received no response.
The businessman has been in a relationship with Katia Aveiro for around nine years. The two are parents to Valentina, who is almost seven years old, and currently live in Gramado, in Serra Gaúcha.
Days before the case was revealed, Katia had published a photo with her husband at Cristiano Ronaldo's house, in Cascais, Portugal.
