Bellingham clashes with Tuchel after criticism of England

The main name of the match, Bellingham scored the two goals of England's comeback and defended his teammates' performance during an interview with the British broadcaster BBC.
Asked if Tuchel's charge demonstrated the high level of demand within the team, the player replied that the opponent deserves more recognition.
"Maybe. Or maybe he doesn't know what it's like to play in these conditions against players like Haaland, Odegaard, Nusa and Sorloth. It's not an easy team to face," he said.
The number 10 also praised the team's attitude and said that, in decisive games, it is not always possible to dominate the match.
"We are trying to create a positive environment and we need to maintain that for the semi-final. I can't praise my teammates enough. You can't always win with possession of the ball and a thousand passes. Sometimes, you have to win in a more painful way, and that's what we did again", he declared.
Tuchel's criticisms had been made shortly after the final whistle, in an interview with ITV. Despite the classification, the coach stated that he did not like England's performance.
"We're in the semi-finals, and that's fantastic. But I'm not satisfied with the performance. We were committed, but we complicated our own lives with the way we played. We were careless, we made tactical errors, we lacked speed and consistency. We also had a dose of luck", he assessed.
With the victory, England secured a place among the four best teams in the World Cup and now awaits the next challenge in search of a place in the final.
