Ariana Grande's thinness in new video, 'Petal', draws fans' attention

Among the comments, you hear phrases like "we miss who you were before" and are called unattractive, inauthentic and without market appeal.

The scenes were interpreted as a reference to real criticisms made about the singer's appearance and the direction of Grande's career, making comparisons with other phases of the artist.

In the comments of the video, however, fans expressed concern about the singer's thinness, something that had been noticed since the time she starred in the "Wicked" films.

The artist's case is just one, among several, that illustrate how botox, plastic surgery and GLP-1 agonist medications, such as Ozempic and Mounjaro -weight loss pens-, now interfere in the construction of characters and affect the viewer's perception of the work. Names like Jim Carrey, Anne Hathaway and Charlize Theron have also suffered recent criticism along the same lines.
